Today I've taken part in Garbage Gathering Campaign organized in many cities and towns of Moscow region. Of course it took place in my native Krasnogorsk. I've gone to Chernevskaya hill (Chernevo is the district I live). The hill is known as simply Cherka (comes from the word "Chernevskaya"). There were several points of garbage gathering in my town but I've chosen this one as it is the closest to my appartments.
As of Chernevskata hill, it is very popular place in our district: people come here just for walks or with their animals, for alpine skiing in winter or for picnics. Unfortunately, traces of these visits are seen just right here in grass and bushes: beer bottles, or packages of juices, chips, cigarette boxes and other papers....Some garbage is not so easy to see but if you look attentively, you'll see too much of it. That's what I have got sure personally today.
I've come to the hill by the set time - 11 a.m. but found nobody. So I've decided to make photos of some beautiful views opened from this point on Chernevskaya meadow. It is said that soon the meadow will be built up with a new districts though some enthusiasts tried to defense it but unsuccessfully...
Later on people started to gather. They just saw announcements on their houses and came to support the Campaign with their personal participation.
Some of them came with families or with pets and everybody took part without exclusion
One woman was as we say "deeply" pregnant but gathered garbage very actively
There was A LOT of garbage... Bottles, packages, pieces of broken bottles and glass were everywhere....
All of that should have been gathered... Though I was shooting the process, I was also gathering garbage and my sack was growing very fast
Over 30 minutes later...
This is because of too much garbage. For example, I gathered this big mountain of bottles on one-meter line of ground!
Some garbage was founded in unnoticeable places.... In deep grass, for example.
There was some broke glass as well... I had to gather it attentively because as I've noticed before, people come here with their dogs and I don't want them to injure their limbs or to get some viruses....
My pack with garbage became bigger....
2,5 hours later my pack was filled with garbage totally. This all was gathered from the base of the hill till its higher point.
I dragged it to the top of the hill to add the sack to other ones gathered by other participants to evacuate it by special transport. There were many packs of garbage which were also filled during 2,5 hours. These all were that garbage we do not look at or simply ignore or increase ourselves by leaving emplty bottles, papers and garbage in unlaid places. Horrible!!!
Totally I'd like to say about the Campaign: it is good that such events take place and people are not indifferent to them... They go and take part in them. This Camplaign, to my opinion, lessons one important thing: once you have taken part in Garbage Gathering Campaign, you will think basically next time when you are going to throw the used thing everywhere you want whether to do it or not... You will think about it because you have taken part in garbage gathering and you know it's hard, much harder than pollute the ground around... You will think about it because really we estimate our personall efforts much more that anybody's else... And after all such actions are very goot opprtunity to know new people and nice time in the open air... A fortiori it´s been a wonderful warm and sunny autumn day... I coulnd´t help myself from shooting some beautiful autumn views. I hope you will like them, too....

On the other side there is a scene from the Soviet cartoon :)
