So at last I am telling you about yesterday's visit to Latinofest-2012 which took place in Moscow the last weekend. This was an event which ususally attracts visitors and leaves many good feelings.
The basic goal of the festival was to make Russians more acquainted with Latin-American culture. So many diverse traditions, customs and cultures are united with one language, bright colors, scents, sunny gladness, happiness and joy which are so lack in life of Russian people. That's why I wish such festivals took place oftener so that gloomy Russians (shame on cold climate! :-P ) could learn from joyful Latin-Americans how to get fun from this life!

Festival began with a little dance and concert zone. A group of musicians played famous rhythms and songs and people danced, at first they were shy but when the group started to sing "Lambada", spectators could hardly be stopped.
This old man could be thanked for energy and positive he shared with people. He showed something like a little master-class of dancing. He was pretty cool in dancing!!!
Ну а это уже зрители зажигают под Ламбаду. А что ещё делать, когда на ней выросло не одно поколение? :)

Anybody could have a mehendi done on hands. This is paintings made by henna but I wonder how it relates to the cuture of Latin America...

Some other birds were running in grass
I moved further to look for other interesting things
I found a tasty and aromatic part of the festival - latin-american cuisine!!!!! Diversity of food, dishes made mad especially those ones who were hungry at that moment. Mmmmmmmmm.. Delicious.
By the way all cafes which worked at the festival can be found in Moscow. They are "NAVARROS Bar Grill" , churascaria "BRAZILIERO", the restaurant of Cuban cuisine "Club Che" and many others. So everybody can go there anytime to try traditional cuisines.
Not far from cafes there was a dancefloor. Many visitors learnt how to dance traditional dances: some of bachata, merengue etc.Everybody laughed and had fun
Dancers were of different gender and age. They all were happy. I thing you can judge about it by their faces.
After dances everybody was invited to take part in the master-class of capoeira. I like Brazilians! They are very positive people. I think they are born with smiles on their faces and never give up no matter what. Beautiful people. And of course I was very delighted with capoeira. How they moved! So elegant and plastic... That was really cool.
This girl impressed both spectators and Brasilian capoeiristas. She seemed to go to gym classes so all her movements were very plastic and beautiful. Guys even invited her separately from all participants of master-class to show some actions together. I will not be surprised to see her on the next Olympic Games. Why not?
Unfortunately, it began to rain and Brazilians had to stop their little show. Nevertheless spectators didn't want to let them go and asked to show some movements to their little kids or just to dance :)

So that was how I spent my weekend. It was wonderful. I have only positive in my head after the festival. I hope it will take place the next summer.

What an absolutely wonderful post! So happy and colourful, people sharing customs and a sense of community. All of the photographs were so beautiful. I could not pick a favourite. Thank you so much for sharing this amazing day.
