Ecologically Clean Day

Today I've taken part in Garbage Gathering Campaign organized in many cities and towns of Moscow region. Of course it took place in my native Krasnogorsk. I've gone to Chernevskaya hill (Chernevo is the district I live). The hill is known as simply Cherka (comes from the word "Chernevskaya").  There were several points of garbage gathering in my town but I've chosen this one as it is the closest to my appartments.
As of Chernevskata hill, it is very popular place in our district: people come here just for walks or with their animals, for alpine skiing in winter or for picnics. Unfortunately, traces of these visits are seen just right here in grass and bushes: beer bottles, or packages of juices, chips, cigarette boxes and other papers....Some garbage is not so easy to see but if you look attentively, you'll see too much of it. That's what I have got sure personally today.

I've come to the hill by the set time - 11 a.m. but found nobody. So I've decided to make photos of some beautiful views opened from this point on Chernevskaya meadow. It is said that soon the meadow will be built up with a new districts though some enthusiasts tried to defense it but unsuccessfully...

Champions League Cup in Moscow

In my previous post I wrote about how wonderful I spent my weekend in constant walks. But there was also one event happened to me that I decided to dedicate a separate story to it.  The case is that in frame of Tour Champions League Cup was brought to Moscow!!! Though I am not a heartful footbal fan, still I couldn't miss it.
So, well... About the event...
A big pavilion was built in the very heart of Moscow, on the Red Square. The cup was exhibited inside. In spite of enormous queues and several cordons of security I got inside the territory fast enough. Some attractions took place near the pavilion. People could make some pictures near the coloutful, painted wall or try themselves in scoring goals into the gates in form of big ball. All the others watched a group of boys juggle with a ball showing their |sport skills. I decided not to hurry and to look around and after that moved to the entrance of pavilion. The inside plan of pavilion can be seen on the official web-site of the Tour Sponsor - UniCredit Bank. It is here. The exposition inside the pavilion was really exciting. It was represented by official Champions League balls of different seasons, players forms, video... I watched everything and moved to the centre of the exposition. I reached the basement where the Cup was set. According to conditions of the exposition only one person per time could reach the Cup.Every visitor was photoed near the Cup. After that the visitor was given  a brochure with a bar-code. The photo was layed on the bar-code from PC with a special scanner so that the visitor could then enter the website of the Tour, print his/her code and get the photo. So now I am waiting for my photo in great anxiety though we made many photos too. So look and envy. And wait for the Champions League Cup in your City!!!!!

Autumn Walks in the City

I'd like to tell you that I spent a wonderful weekend walking in Moscow. Unfortunately I couldn't spend much time walking on Friday as it began raining and it was just my luck that I was without my umbrella at the moment. Saturday was quite the opposite. The weather was brilliant: the Sun was shining, the air was clean and autumn-like. Excellent! So I enjoyed my day. Below are some photos of autumnal Moscow. I think in future I'll write several posts about the most interesting places in Moscow so you, my dear readers, could get to know what Moscow is like.

Autumn Is Coming to Us

To my great pleasure I've been lucky to spend this weekend on the fresh air. Dispite of often rains the weather is still warm and it is not so muddy under feet. That's why I've preferred to walk and enjoy the upcoming autumn. All trees are covering with yellow and red foliage drawing the most beautiful season nearer to its very heart. And the most wonderful period is onward; closer to October everything that is green now will turn to red-, yellow-, brown-, vinous-coloured. The forest will be filled with all colours.... Autumn... The most beautiful season...

Fountains

On the 10th and 11th of September my native town Krasnogorsk (Moscow region) celebrated the Town's Day. Just before this event the town began preparations.  In particular the big fountain in front of local House of Arts "Podmoskovie" was encompassed with a hoarding. It made everybody wonder what was happening behind the temporary wall as everybody heard the sounds of repairing works. So, the Town's Day came and the fountaing was opened to the inhabitants of the town. By their surprise two new fountains appeared on the recent place of the old one. The streams of water plays and sparkle in the colourful lights. New benches were set around each fountain as well so anyone can sit and enjoy the sight of fountains, which are especially beutiful in the evenings.

I tnik, they are really beautiful.

My land is wide....

Tell me how much do you know about what is happening at this very moment at the contrary end of your motherland? Isn't it interesting to look even with one eye on what people are there, how they live and what is Nature there like?
Fortunately, inhabitants of Central part of Russia and all other people as well have a wonderful possibility to see how Russian  Far East live. Thanks to the blog of Igor Shpilenok we can see beautiful places, landscapes and fauna of Kronotsky national park where Igor works as the preservation inspector. Besides his direct duties and responsibilities he successfuly manages to post new exciting stories and picteresque photos of his own authorship telling us about life of local flora and fauna. As Igor writes on his official web-site:

"I wish to convey the beauty of wild nature in Russia's protected areas to people around the world and evoke in them the desire to conserve those areas."

Look. Read. Discover a wonderful world of Kamchatka's biggest natural park. I am sure that it will be interesting to everybody.

EquiForum-2011

Communication to animals brings pleasure. Communication with horses is a double pleasure. I've got it today by visiting EquiForum-2011 which takes place in IEC (International Exhibition Centre) on 2-6 September. The Exhibiton gathered together many organizations working in equestrian business - publishing houses, producers of equestrian equipment and medicines etc. I've found my Internet friends from charitable organization "EquiHelp" which rescues horses in trouble. Besides all that I've hugged with almost all horses on Exhibition. How wonderful they are! So kind, good and tender creatures. I've felt in love with them finally!

Summer Trip to the Don

Here are some pictures made during my trip to the Don (long-long river on the south of Russia, one of  many places of cossacks living). This trip was my father's intiative. I now can say that it exceeded all my expectations!!! We lived several happy days on the bank of the most beautiful rivers of my native country, went fishing deep in the night, swam in warm waters, enjoyed the most tasty watermelon which grew in the fields all around, floated in the boat (unfortunately its engine was broken on the first day and we had to use oars)...
Concerning my own impressions, I can say only one thing: russian part of me is proud that it is the most beautiful and picteresque place (or on of the most...) in this country, and my cossack part is proud that it is my small motherland and it is just what it is... With its endless and limitless prairies, hot Sun... Evevn the air is different there, people are different... It is felt differently there and it is impossible not to fall in love with that land... That is why now I very much  miss that plaсe...  I wish I wouls return there again and again...

Our little brothers

IMG_7580.JPG
I've noticed this pretty cat sitting on the roof of somebody's car near the neighbour building. She was basking under the rays of the evening sun catching the warmth of last summer days. :) Of course I couldn't pass by her without making the photo.

We are flying on a wing and a prayer

Yesterday I went to Monino (in Moscow region). This little closed military town is famous for its aviation academy named after Yuri Gagarin. Besides, it has the Museum of Russian Air Forces with many planes of different periods of Russian History of the XXth century. The case is that I work as a volunteer in this museum. Almost 5 years ago I became a member of one noncommercial organization of young people who are not indifferent to the state of exhibit items. As a result  the state of planes is much better now that it was six years ago before our voluntary organisation was founded when somebody was ready to pull planes apart for base metals. So, all information about us is available on our web-site www.aviarestorer.ru Now it is only in Russian but I am ready to answer any your question about us as we visit museum every Saturday for voluntary works: we wash planes, we make repair works on planes, we paint planes, wash planes etc We never sit without eork which is very interesting.

Here are some photos from yesterday visit:
