Sparrows and their friend

Today I've come to the market to buy some foods. I took my camera. Everything because there was a place on my way where sparrows and doves usually eat from the bird table and I wanted to capture this moment. This time I was especially lucky as among sparros there was one white crow. One of two white crows which live in my town.

Winter's tale

I made some new shots starting from the beginning of January. They all were kept on my PC. So at last I decided to share them in this milestone hundredth post.

This year we have wonderful winter: it's frosty, fresh, sunny and there's too much snow everywhere. Everybody's glad. Poeple can go skiing, ice-skating and ride in sleighs from hills.

One Winter Day at The Call of The Wild Shelter

Today after a very long pause I have finally visited the shelter for dogs. I couldn't get there due to many different reasons: I got a flu, I was busy or I couldn't find a person with a car.
Though today I've been there! I've taken all presents for dogs which I used to collect at home since September. It all occupied two big bags. There were toys, food, blankets and little tasty treats...
In all that concerned the trip itself, we've been lucky to have a wonderful weather for a whole day. It's been suuny, snowy but not so cold as usual. So we've spent a good time in the shelter. We took some dogs for a walk. I was happy to walk with my lovely dog named Wolf

Around Summer

Some of my friends often ask me why I spend my time in the shelter for homeless dogs. I often answer that it's interesting and brings me lots of joy. And the dogs are really wonderful.
Besides animals themselves this business gives me opportunity to meet interesting and talented people. For example yesterday I visited the exhibition of 2 painters Maria Smerchinskaya and Irina Belyaeva.
They called the exhibition "Around Summer". Their aim was to share some warmth with the visitors and I think they succeded. Their pictures are really warm and sunny and look like pieces of summer.
The exhibition was charitable and all money which was gathered there, was then transferred to the account of the shelter for its needs. Besides painters organised a little auction where they sold a picture by Maria Smerchinskaya and again the money was directed to the shelter. Total amount was 35,000 RUR

Ski Cup in Krasnogorsk 2012

This winter we have terrifying frost everywhere. Though in my home town this weekend we have a Ski tournament and many people visited it because skiing is a really favourite sport for our inhabitants.
The tournament itself gathered many sportsmen including some Olympic Games participants and winners of number of Championships.
I also visited this race and liked it.

Exhibition of Dogs

Today I've visited an exhibition of dogs. There were lots of participants and lots of visitors so I also went here and there just watching and enjoying. That's why I have not so many photos as usual. The only one thing I want to say is that dogs and other domestic pets are the real source of positive and good humor for any pet owner.

Where to go on rainy weekend?

This weekend is really rainy and windy. But as I didn't want to sit at home all these days, I decided to go out and today I've been at 2 exhibitions. I've made not too much photos, unfortunately.

The first exhibition is GameWorld-2012. It was dedicated to new editions in the world of games. It attracted many, many people who went here and there from one stand to another and played, played, played...

Walking Through the Fairy Forest
