At the Dogs' Shelter

This Sunday I visited the dogs of the shelter once again. I got a huge dose of love, joy and dirty clothes. Still positive feelings got the better of my dirty clothes :)

"The Call of The Wild". Just Another Trip to The Dogs

Yesterday I visited the shelter for homeless dogs again to take photos of animals. Why do I need it? Well. The basic goal of the shelter is not only to give a sanctuary to homeless dogs and feed them three times a day. The owners of the shelter also find future owners for dogs. In order the dog and the owner could meet, it is necessary to tell everybody about the dog in any source (and Internet, as well). Besides volunteers come to the shelter and teach dogs all elementary skill for living at home and be a socialized animal (e.g to walk in a collar and dog-lead, to know some orders etc.).
The shelter "The Call of The Wild" has many its former inhabitants who became domestic ones not only in Russia.Some of them now live in the Netherlands, Germany, France. But still too many wonderful dogs remain in the shelter waiting for their human as it is much more better to live at home than in the shelter even if it is so good as "The Call of The Wild".

Oh, I wrote too much and digressed from my story. I didn't manage to photograph all dogs I wanted. But I hope that photos I was able to make, turned out quite good enough. Let's start to watch.

Para Bailar La Bamba

So at last I am telling you about yesterday's visit to Latinofest-2012 which took place in Moscow the last weekend. This was an event which ususally attracts visitors and leaves many good feelings.
The basic goal of the festival was to make Russians more acquainted with Latin-American culture. So many diverse traditions, customs and cultures are united with one language, bright colors, scents, sunny gladness, happiness and joy which are so lack in life of Russian people. That's why I wish such festivals took place oftener so that gloomy Russians (shame on cold climate! :-P ) could learn from joyful Latin-Americans how to get fun from this life!

Summer, Sunsets and Planes

So, the last summer month has come to us. We still have a real heat, the last rain was two weeks ago. And one more good thing personally  for me is that I have 2.5 weeks vacation. I will not go somewhere abroad but I am sure there's lots of interesting here and my photo camera will not have a rest.
For example here are photos from my walk in the evening when the Sun was going down. I was making some pics of the nature in the hour of sunset. Besides I met two guys one of whom was my neighbour. They flew their radioguided models of plane and helicopter and tried to make some aerobatic maneuvers with different success. Everybody who passed by at the moment, slowed down and stopped to watch their flights.

The Call of the Wild

Yesterday I went to the dogs' shelter "The Call of the Wild" with other volunteers again. Such visits bring me a lot of happiness and joy. We brushed dogs and played with them and made some other works. A dog called Jeya will fly to Bordeaux (France) on Tuesday. So specially for her some volunteers brought a cage and documents (I have never see so many documents for a domestical animal in my whole life!!!). So  she will fly to her new owners. I will miss her.
I spent the whole day with my greatest love among dogs of the shelter. I'm talking about Volk (Wolf) which is so smilar with his wild brother. Volk turned to be very smart. We huged, he licked all my face with his warm tongue, we played. He played with the brush as if it was a toy. Then we ran about his cage. At first he ran after me trying to take away the brush but then he guessed to turn and run in advance.
In general, it was a pleasant day. Inside you'll find many photos.

Oh, Summer!

We still have a hot summer here. Evereything's blooming, Sun is shining and it would be so wonderful to have summer all the year round! It's so nice to watch these fields of summer herbs and flowers!

One more day in the dogs' shelter "The Call of the Wild"

I feel I should create one more blog to describe my trips to the shelter. The last Sunday I was there once again. We did many things: photographed dogs, played with them, measured them and brushed their coats. Their coat didn't totally change after winter so there was a lot of it after brushing.
