Yesterday I visited the shelter for homeless dogs again to take photos of animals. Why do I need it? Well. The basic goal of the shelter is not only to give a sanctuary to homeless dogs and feed them three times a day. The owners of the shelter also find future owners for dogs. In order the dog and the owner could meet, it is necessary to tell everybody about the dog in any source (and Internet, as well). Besides volunteers come to the shelter and teach dogs all elementary skill for living at home and be a socialized animal (e.g to walk in a collar and dog-lead, to know some orders etc.).
The shelter "The Call of The Wild" has many its former inhabitants who became domestic ones not only in Russia.Some of them now live in the Netherlands, Germany, France. But still too many wonderful dogs remain in the shelter waiting for their human as it is much more better to live at home than in the shelter even if it is so good as "The Call of The Wild".
Oh, I wrote too much and digressed from my story. I didn't manage to photograph all dogs I wanted. But I hope that photos I was able to make, turned out quite good enough. Let's start to watch.

The first dog was Kai. He is very funny, lovely and likes visitors very much. When somebody comes to him, he starts to jump around expressing his joy and trying to lick faces and so on. But he doesn't think that after such visits all his guests are left really dirty from head to toes. So after visits to other dogs I looked quite clean. But after visit to Kai I was... errrrrrrr.... Thanks God, there was soap, towel and water in the shelter. Here is this pup. :)
Kai is very athletic dog. To watch him running is a real pleasure

Diversity of expressions
Kai was taken out to make photos without buldings on the background. Goats wanted a photo-session too...
Goats weren't taken with Kai so they turned back offended. But when they were given delicacies, they forgot that they felt much better :)
Kai had to work as a photo-model. That's how it looked.
On the way back all surroundings should be sniffed
To walk under the warm Sun is a great satisfaction:)
And at last this one. The writing means "I'll take much place in your heart". Frankly speaking I am very satisfied with Kai. Thoug he is an active dog, all photos are good and Kai is in very focus
While we photographed the dogs, our famous aerobatic teams flew over us in the sky as we celebrate 100 year anniversary of Russian Air Forces this weekend and some shows with participation of flying machines are planned.

This plane takes passengers somewhere. Maybe on vacation abroad...
But I still photographed the dogs. The next one was Teona, very beautiful, timid, golden girl. She is so very kind and I love her very much

Besides photo-sessions we just spent good time with dogs. For example here dogs are sharing their joy and love with Olya.All the secret is that just earlier Olya fed them with crackers and some pieces of meat but I will not tell you about it. :)

Don't think that Olya shows her hate to dogs on this photo. This big "bear" right before the shoot came out of the puddle and moved right to Olya and wanted to shake his wet body near her. That's why Oly showed him not to do that.

And of course I went to my beloved Volk and his three neighbour girls Naida, Lyusya and Alisa
I bought in IKEA four plaids of fleece for them to use them as litters. I guess that dogs estimated them. It is of course better to sleep on warm littlers than on a cold floor. Naida liked her new kennel more than others and didn't want to come out enjoying a warm litter.

That was the day in the shelter. Actually to photograph animals is a special, incomparable joy and pleasure. Being with them is simultaneously simple and diffcult. It is simple because animals are the rich source for photographer, they are natural and easy. It is difficult because you cannot beg them to stand still in this or that pose just to make a photo you expect. They are unpredictable. But it is a rich experience. You study how to work with camera and with the world that surrounds you, to predict its future actions and phenomena, to understand it and to guess what surprises Mother Nature prepares for the next moment.
