Today it's Holy Saturday for orthodxal Russians. It is the end of the Lent and tomorrow we will Celebrate the orthodoxal Easter.
Traditionally this day all orthodoxal Christians go to churches to consecrate Easter pies and painted eggs which are prepared beforehand on the Holy Thursday.
This Thursday I also prepared myself for today's event. This time I decided to cook pies on my own instead of buying them in the shop. As it was my first experiensce, my pies turned out to be like this. They smell very nice. I hope they will be tasty, too.
Today it's shiny at last, the weather is warm after long gloomy period. I went to the curch with my pies and eggs. There were a lot of people. The stood even behind the fence.. But this crowd moved fast so it didn't take me long to get inside.
Everybody stood around a long table with their painted eggs and pies. The pastor of the church consecrated all this and people with Holy Water.
And this night I will go there again to Easter Night Service and Holy procession of the Cross
